The Staff Loading Summary is a report generated to assist staff scheduling in the broadest terms. Each state caregiver ratio (per your state's legislation) is loaded for your copy of the database by child age range. The report summarizes the total number of children in a given "room" in the center along with calculating the portion of a caregiver's time needed to cover each child in the room. Whole multiples are rounded up to indicate approximately how many workers are needed on any given day.
From the below example we can see staff totals (.23, .22, .32, .26, .21, .05) are under "1" for all days, based on enrollment as analyzed. So, one caregiver can legally cover all these children.
This report is a very general estimation of staff requirements. Employee breaks, other assigned duties, late arriving children, etc., many factors can impact on the staffing schedule. |
