T-Shirt Printer: Operations Databases Integrated Database Management For T-Shirt Screen Printers
Database 1: Invoicing Database The database generates invoices and quotations based on the number of shirts, by size (S, M, L, 2XL, 3XL, and misc), brand (Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, etc), fabric (100% cotton, 50/50 blend, etc), and type (golf shirt, sweat, tank top, etc), and color (lights, pastels, darks, etc.) of shirts being billed or quoted.
Two Look-Up support databases (Customers and Shirt Descriptions) Automatically Fill In: + Customer Bill To and Ship To Addresses, Telephone Numbers, and Key Contact Information. + Resellers Permit Number (if on file, or adds sales tax otherwise to the order total). + Complete Shirt Description.
The Database Delivers: + Complete, Professional Invoicing and Quotations. + Sales are Summarized by Customer, Month, Year. + The Amount of Sales Tax to be Paid each Month is automatically calculated and sumarized. + A Sales Tax Report is generated to attach to your Sales Tax Payment. + Receivables are Tracked and Summarized. + Artwork, Screen, and Setup Charges can be added to the invoice as a single line item call. + Packing Lists can be Printed. + Film and Art used for the job can Be Referenced (assign a job number).
Database 2: Shirt Ordering Database This database accompanies the T-Shirt Invoicing Database and permits pre-staging of pending orders to generate a summary of the number of T-shirts to be ordered by brand, fabric, style, size, and color.
Entering ten or fifteen new production orders can challenge even the best silk screening manager when adding up all the variables in current goods requirements. This companion database allows a quick toggle "Order Shirts - Yes/No" (set in the invoicing database) to accumulate the ordering requirements and generate the shirts to be ordered summary. Automatic calculation of T-shirts required can help you get better quantity discounts from the distributors or mills - you can consolidateall 100% cotton to one vendor, rather than buying two brands, and maybe upsell a 50/50 blend customer. Take the final printed summary and subtract shirts on-hand, in inventory, to determine your net requirements.
